Itβs time to update the Emergency Contacts List, sponsored by our Naomi widowsβ group. This is a low-tech paper list that shows us how to contact your family or friend in case you should have an emergency at church. It supplements the computerized lists that Hollie and the elders have. We want to make sure we have the most current contact information for you. This list will be private and yet accessible in strategic locations in the church. Take an information sheet at the round library table if you need to sign up or make an update. Weβll keep the materials out through the month of September.
Please join us September 21 for a Farewell Reception for Elisabeth Tatusko. She is leaving us in October for Brooklyn, NY and weβll take this time to wish her blessings. Weβll have cake after Bible Class.
We need cookies for Coffee Fellowship! πͺπͺπͺ Please bring cookies, labeled with the date, and leave them in the freezer in the kitchen.
Everything we do as Lutheran Women in Mission begins with Christβs message of repentance and forgiveness. The Ascension text of βGOβ (Luke 24:44β53) is the mission emphasis for Lutheran Women in Mission Sunday 2025. On Ascension Day, Jesus gave his followers an assignment βthat repentance and forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations.β We, as the church of the Lord Jesus Christ, have a responsibility to proclaim the message of Christ, to be that body which proclaims repentance and forgiveness, showing forth the merciful Christ in what we do and say. As Lutheran Women in Mission we continue to support, encourage and uplift missionaries, and also provide physical support and compassion to all people. It is the proclamation of repentance and forgiveness of sins in Jesusβ name that motivates us to do this work. All Glory be to Jesus!
The lessons for September 7, The Fourteenth Sunday after Pentecost, Divine Service with Communion with Pr. Mark Greisse, will be from Ezekiel 34:11-24; 1 Timothy 1:5-17; Luke 15:1-10. The lessons link to BibleGateway.com.
Have a great week! ππππ»πΎππ God is good, All the time; All the time, God is gooooood! ππ

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2
