Pastor Tyler Simmons was born on Florida’s eastern shores but spent most of his youth in northern Maryland. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in 2012 and completed his Bachelor’s of Science –Criminal Justice through Liberty University while on active duty.

After 9 ½ years in the Marine Corps, Pastor Simmons commissioned into the Navy. In 2022, Pastor Simmons felt the call to go to Seminary and began his studies at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. He conducted his vicarage year at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Iowa City, Iowa.

Pastor Simmons graduated with his Master’s of Divinity from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis in 2026 and received his call here to Faith Lutheran Church. He and his wife, Rachel, have been married since 2013, and have 4 children.
