Happy Monday! 🍎🍏 We hope that you had a great weekend! 🎃🍁🍂
The bulletin for Sunday, October 18, The Twenty-First Sunday after Pentecost, is available here on our website. There are additional copies outside the office. The video of the service is here on our website, and the sermon is here and attached to this email.
We will be taking opportunity on November 8 to express our love and appreciation for God’s servant to us at Faith Lutheran. You will find a designated box for Pastor Appreciation for your gifts to Pastor Simmons, discreetly placed in the coat closet (near the entrance to the fellowship hall). If you have questions, you may contact Lorna Osborne at 509 393-6332!
Thank you to everyone who brought chilis and cornbread to our first annual Chili Cookoff! Congratulations to our chili winners: First place was Lorna Osborne, Second was Garritt Visser, and Third place was Sharon Richmond. Our Cornbread Champion was Sabra Siltman! Of course, the judges had a hard time coming to these decisions with how delicious all of the chilis and cornbreads were!
Thank you to everyone who signed up for Prayer Chain! Your lists are now in your mailboxes.
THANK YOU to ALL who helped with and attended the Spaghetti Dinner! We served 66 and had donations of $1,680! Your generous free will gifts will be used for missions and congregational service projects. Announcement of designations of this funds will be made in early 2027. Together, Faith members and friends have responded to the LWML motto: “Serve the Lord with gladness,” Psalm 100:2. Thrivent Action Dollars supported this project.
Thank You to the Richmonds for the donation of a new roaster pan for use in Faith’s kitchen. The fifty-plus year old roaster will be retired!
Happy Birthdays 🎂 this week to Garritt Visser today, Alex Maydole tomorrow, Bobbie Sickles and Jordyn Reichert this Saturday!
Daylight Savings time ends this Saturday. 🕒🕑 Don't forget to move your house one to the left!
The lessons for this Sunday, November 1, All Saints Day, will be from Revelation 7:2-17; 1 John 3:1-3; and Matthew 5:1-12. The lessons link to BibleGateway.com.
Have a great week! 🍎🍏🎃🍁🍂 God is good, All the time; All the time, God is gooooooood! 🙏🏻🙌🏻
Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2
