Happy Monday! ππποΈπΆοΈπ©΄π©± We hope you all had a great weekend! π
The bulletin for Sunday, August 17, The Tenth Sunday after Pentecost, is available here on our website. There are additional copies outside the office. The sermon is here. The video is here on our website.
Please, if you listen to Faithβs Sunday morning service on YouTube, let us know. We have little idea as to the quality of what you are receiving at home. We are trying to improve the YouTube stream, please stay with us. On occasion you may need to restart the stream as we may turn it off and back on again mid-service.
With the letter from Pastor Wendt returning our Call, the Call committee has set a Call meeting for Saturday, September 6, at 1:00 pm. The committee recommends that we stay with the remaining four Pastors on the short list.
Pastor Gudgel
Pastor Lutjens
Pastor Mason
Pastor Niemeier
If anyone would like to add one or all of the other Pastors from the original list, they can make a motion at the Call meeting to include them. Please take some time to review all nine of the pastorβs information on the entire list that the call committee has developed. With that preparation, if one or more candidates were added during the call meeting, the call meeting could proceed in selecting a pastor to call. The binder is available in the office.
Please contact any of the Call committee members if you need help.
Shon Dempsey; Anna Ericksen; Nita Hadfield; Nikki Johnson; Bob Koenig
This Sunday 8-24, immediately following the worship service, the congregation is invited to a discussion on the candidates on the full call list. This is the four on the current list plus additional candidates earlier screened out by the call committee. Motions to make changes to the call list will be reserved for the next call meeting on September 6. As announced last week, a TIM (Transitional Interim Ministry) candidate will not be considered; there is no one available to us across the United States.
The Adult Bible Class summer theme is βAre Your Rural/Small Town Churches Planting and Growing?β Join us for coffee after worship, weβll determine then if weβll have our Bible Class this week.
Big THANK YOUs to the willing helpers who cleaned the kitchen on Tuesday. They were Perci Holman, Laura Krumdieck, Sharon Richmond, Susan Rumble, Cathi Werner, Bev Wischnofske, and Sue Wolkenhauer. Together they reflect the LWML motto: βServe the Lord with gladnessβ Psalm 100:23
Dear congregation, we received a donation statement from Mountain View Womenβs Health, thanking us for a total donation of $162.27. These are the numbers from the baby bottle campaign this last year! They gratefully thank you!!
Happy Birthday π this week to Nancy Schauer!

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2
