πŸŽ„βœ¨πŸŽ Faith Minutes for Monday, December 8, 2025 βœ¨πŸŽ„πŸŽ

Happy Monday! πŸŽ„βœ¨πŸŽ We hope you all had a great weekend!

The bulletin for Sunday, December 7, The Second Sunday in Advent πŸ•―οΈπŸ•―οΈ, is available here on our website. There are additional copies outside the office. The video of the service is here on our website.

A Congregational/Voters meeting has been scheduled for Sunday December 21 to present and discuss all of our Calling options and to decide how we would like to proceed.

This Wednesday and next Wednesday, St. Paul’s has Soup Supper at 5:00 pm and Midweek Advent Worship with Pr. Don Ray at 6:30 pm. Their Christmas worship will be at 10:15 am with Holy Communion.

For the second Advent Sunday, the Sunday School continued working on our wreath while we talked about the clues that help us understand the mystery of Advent. Sunday School meets after worship.

It’s the giving season!  Instead of making our special offerings at only one or two services at the end of the year, we’re declaring that now through Sunday, January 4 is Faith’s β€œgiving season.” Write β€œSpecial Offerings” on your check memo and generously support the Rescue Mission, Life Choices, Alatheia Riding Center and Brave Warriors locally; and Lutherans in Africa and Danelle Putnam Schumann internationally. – Stewardship

Join us on Christmas Eve at 6:00 for Candles and Carols πŸ•―οΈπŸ™πŸŽ„βœ¨πŸŽΆπŸŽ΅βœ¨, a worshipful service of readings and songs. We’ll have a special guest reader, and our traditional Silent Night by candlelight.

Faith Lutheran Preschool Annual Christmas Raffle!  Tickets are $1! Prizes include: Three Night Stay in downtown Chelan home; Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas (large basket); A Christmas Wish (large basket); Farm Fresh Christmas (medium basket); Peace on Earth Tower (medium basket); Jesus is the Light of the World lantern; Gingerbread Spice and Everything Nice gingerbread house full of goodies; Have Yourself a Very Merry Christmas bear and aprons; Christmas Memories quilt; and a crocheted baby blanket. 6 tickets for $5, 12 tickets for $10, and 25 tickets for $20!

We have completed the roofing on the Sunday School wing and half of the office. We wanted to recognize one of the preschooler fathers, Conner Vail, who owns RC Valley Roofing and his helper, Raul Chavez volunteered to put the new metal on. Also want to thank Mike Borman, Bill Leichner, Stan Delzer, Eric Loebsack, Shawn Robertson and Bob Koenig for helping with the demo and prep for the new roof.

The church office administrator will be out this week on Friday, and there will be a volunteer in the office.

The Altar Guild has ended the current Flower Program for worship floral arrangements effective January 1, 2026. If a congregational member would like to provide flowers for Sunday worship services, the member can:

πŸ’ provide the flowers from a florist of your choice

πŸ’ provide your own flowers

πŸ’ order from the current floral provider, Liane Hickman at 509 885-8118

Members need to work directly with their selected florist. If Liane is selected, she will handle ordering, delivery of the flowers to the church, and collect payments from members. If a member chooses to provide flowers from a different source, the arrangement must be at the church no later than 9:00 am on Sunday. Members need to get any dedication information for the bulletin to Hollie in the office by noon on the Wednesday before. If you have any questions about this new policy, please contact Cindy Leichner, Anna Ericksen or Jane Watson.

Thank you very much to Pr. Jeffery Scheer and his wife Jin for being with us yesterday and leading us in Word and Sacrament

Happy Birthdays πŸŽ‚ this week to Justin Weeks, Alexis Fischer, Lorna Osborne, and Olivia Goodwan.

The lessons for this Sunday, December 14, The Third Sunday in AdventπŸ•―οΈπŸ•―οΈπŸ•―οΈ, will be from Isaiah 35; James 5:7-11; and Matthew 11:2-15. The lessons link to BibleGateway.com.

Have a great week! πŸŽπŸŽ€πŸŽ„βœ¨ God is coming soon! πŸ™πŸ™Œ

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2
