This week's Sunday School lesson is “A Call to Action.” Abram is called by God to leave everything familiar, and journey to a totally unfamiliar land. 🏕️ God promised to give him so many descendants that they would need a whole new country to hold them! ⭐✨🌟⭐ Abram had faith and obeyed. Sunday School meets after worship.
The Women’s Circle Annual Spaghetti Dinner will be this Sunday from 5:00 pm-6:30 pm! A complete salad bar, garlic bread, desserts and beverages will complement our yummy spaghetti sauce! 🍝🥖🥗 Profits from freewill donations will fund Women’s Circle congregational and mission projects. Gluten-free pasta will be available. Thrivent Action Dollars will support this project. Invite a friend!
Faith’s widows support group, Naomi, will meet Tuesday, October 20, at 1:00 in the fellowship hall. Besides food and song, we will share an article about insects 🦗 and restoration (Joel 2:25).
What says ‘Reformation Day’ better than Chili and Corn-Bread? 🥣 Not many things, that’s what! Please join us on Sunday, October 25, for our Reformation Day celebration and a Chili-Cookoff afterward. If you would like to bring a chili to enter in the competition, there is a sign-up sheet on the Kiosk. Not wanting to make chili? You could also sign up to put your cornbread making abilities to the test! We also need one more judge for the competition! After the judging, we will all enjoy the chilis together and listen to a presentation from Sarah Dempsey about what it is like to be a delegate at the LCMS Synodical Convention.
Are you interested in supporting our confirmation program but not sure how to go about it? Currently, we are meeting at 12:00-1:00 pm on Sundays, after Sunday School hour. We are looking for individuals who are willing to provide lunch for our two confirmands and two instructors each week. The meal can be as simple as some lunch meat and sandwich bread, or as intricate as you would like to make it. 🥪🌮🍱 Our goal with this program is to help our confirmands get to know everyone in the congregation on a closer level. On any week you sponsor the meal, we will have a few fun ice-breaker style questions to discuss with the confirmands at the beginning of class so they can know you, and you can know them better. There is a sign-up sheet on the kiosk in the narthex for anyone who is interested in taking part in this program!
Tabitha Circle says thank you so much for your fabric donations! Our closet is now full, we are no longer able to accept donations thanks to your generosity. We meet Thursday mornings and are open to new members.
