HELP WANTED: We are in need of a Recording Secretary. The duties of the position include (1) Keep an accurate and permanent record of all Voters Assembly meetings; (2) Publish all Voters Assembly meeting minutes; (3) Maintain an accurate list of all voting members, all board members, all committee members and all active committees; and (4) Prepare and sign official correspondence as necessary. This is an elected position with the current term ending in July of 2027. If you, or someone you know, is interested in serving in this capacity, please contact Eric Loebsack or Garritt Visser.
On February 18, Ash Wednesday, from 6:00 pm to 6:20 pm in the Narthex, Women’s Circle will serve Hot Cross Buns, freshly made by Greg Leichner! The worship service of hymns and a meditation will follow at 6:30 pm in the Sanctuary. Plan to join in the beginning of the Lenten Season with this traditional observance.
Last week in Sunday School, Clara was lacking an audience, so today she will present her “We’re coke, not water” demonstration about Jesus’ perfection. Using coke and water, we’ll learn how we’re not perfect and how Jesus most certainly is. Sunday School meets after worship.
Tabitha Circle will have their annual baby shower for Mountain View Women’s Health, previously Real Options, on February 12, at 9:30 am. All women in the congregation are invited! If you are a knitter or seamstress, or just love buying baby items, they will be joyfully appreciated. Stay for a short meeting and learn more about Tabitha.
Women’s Circle Annual Potato Bar Dinner will be Sunday, February 22, from 5:00 pm-6:30 pm! 🥔🥗🧁 Come and fix a potato with a variety of toppings – ham, cheese, chili, broccoli, onions, etc. There will be a large salad bar, as well as an array of desserts and beverages. Your free-will offering supports Women’s Circle missions and congregational projects. Come and enjoy some yummy food and fun Faith fellowship. Invite your friends! Thrivent Action Dollars supports this project!
MOST (Mission Opportunities Short Term) Ministries does good all over the world. Their Eyeglass Ministry is outstanding. 👓 Did you know that Americans discard 4 million pairs of glasses a year, while 158 million people worldwide are walking around with uncorrected vision? Visit the table in the Narthex and see if you can bless someone somewhere with your old glasses.
